Lots of people have found peace and victory in the middle of their life storms because they believed God could deliver them through those storms:

Martha: John 11:21-22

Although I've experienced some abnormally stressful life challenges this year, they were nothing compared with what these folks faced. Yet I can still report that trusting and waiting for God's "peace, be still" over any life storm works well, even today.
