Baptism, first and last.

Please take a moment to read Matt. 3:13-15; 28:19-20; Mark 16:16.

The first and last words of a human being are significant. Jesus opens his ministry by commanding He be baptized as necessary "to fulfill all righteousness," then He closes it by commanding that any who would follow Him be baptized. As He received the Spirit at His baptism, so do Christ's believers at theirs.

Baptism is a wonderful mercy our Great Example has set for us. May our Lord, The Alpha and The Omega, be forever praised!
